Judy Kalinyak, MD, PhD
Vice President and Director of Clinical Simulation
Dr. Kalinyak has served on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco and Stanford University and has over 40 publications and hundreds of conference posters and presentations. She was previously the Director of the Medical Skill Center at California Northstate SOM where she designed a medical skills/physical diagnosis program incorporating patient encounter simulation before joining i-Human Patients as the Director of Clinical Simulation. She leans on years of medical education experience and vast clinical knowledge to effectively lead our simulation team and drive the development of our content and products.
Pat Obulaney, DNP, APRN, ANP-C
Director of Graduate Nursing Patient Simulation
Dr. Obulaney is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and was an i-Human Patients user while on faculty at UT Houston. She brings years of experience as an RN, advanced practice nurse in addition to her experience as a nurse educator and innovator using virtual simulation in her courses. She understands busy academic faculty schedules, as well as what faculty need to help their students become competent clinicians. In addition to her academic role at i-Human Patients, Dr. Obulaney continues to practice at a local community clinic every Friday.
David Schultze, EdD, MSN, RN, CNRN
Executive Director of Undergraduate Nursing Simulation
Dr. Schultze has vast Pediatric, Neuro and Critical Care experience, and was previously a faculty member at a nursing institution in Oregon where he led the transition to concept-based nursing and simulation use. He joined i-Human Patients to assist in the development of our undergraduate nursing product, and now leads our undergraduate authoring team. He understands firsthand what faculty need to help their students need to develop clinical judgment skills necessary to pass the NCLEX, and ultimately become safe, competent nurses.
